To help parents, here’s a short overview of the types of preschools & the levels with a general age indication. Note that definitions & terminologies might defer slightly for some preschools for the age groups.
Types of Preschool Service:
IC Infant Care (2 to 18 months)
CC Childcare (18 months to 6 years old)
KG Kindergarten (18 months to 6 years old)
Preschools that offer Childcare service operates full-day 7am-7pm on weekdays, as well as during the school holidays.
Preschools that offer Kindergarten service typically operates half-day & have no school during the MOE school holidays.
Levels:
PG Playgroup (18 months to 2 years old)
PN Pre-Nursery (3 years old)
N Nursery (4 years old)
K1 Kindergarten 1 (5 years old)
K2 Kindergarten 2 (6 years old)
